From the Fox Run Political Awareness Committee:
It seems like ages ago that we first invited you to attend the August 30, 2012 special EVENT at Fox Run Retirement Community in the Belmont Clubhouse sponsored by our Political Awareness Committee – now is the time!
The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm and last until 9:00pm. The format for the evening is the following:
- A brief introduction will be followed by a fifteen minute presentation for each of the two candidates to speak and present his position; candidates will speak from the podium
- After each candidate has spoken, there will be a fifteen minute Q&A session with our residents; answers are limited to 3 minutes each. The candidates will remain at the table during the Q&A
- After the Q&A, each candidate will be given five minutes for summation, remaining at the table
- An informal dessert buffet will follow with and an opportunity for one-on-one conversations.
Fox Run is located on the north side of 13 Mile Rd. between Meadowbrook and M5; call if you need directions: 248.960.9676.
When you arrive at the gate, tell security that you are here for the Political Awareness Event and you will receive directions to the Belmont Clubhouse. Parking places will be reserved for you. Park, enter the lobby where you will be greeted and then taken to the auditorium. At this time, you will draw cards to determine the order in which you will speak. The candidate who speaks first will summarize last.
Please arrive promptly at 7:00PM.
You may invite family, friends and supporters to attend.
The Event will probably be attended by at least 220 residents; our in-house TV will broadcast the EVENT during the week of September 10th for those residents who were not able to attend on August 30th.
Candidates are encouraged to bring literature for distribution on the evening of the EVENT as well as additional literature to be distributed to residents who did not attend on August 30th.
